Reading and Writing Apps & Extensions for Dyslexia , Spec Ed, and more.

Two amazing tools SAISD has made available to all staff and students are Snap and Read and Co:Writer.

Snap and Read is an app for iPads and an extension that can be added to the Chrome Browser that causes the device to read the screen. With the iPad you can take a picture of printed materials and have the iPad read the text. Watch the video below to learn more.



Co:Writer is an app / Chrome Extension that provides predictive text for the student to support students. Watch the video below to learn more about Co:Writer.



If you are using the apps on iPads, download the apps from the app catalog and then sign in using your SAISD Google account. If you plan on using these apps on a computer, look for the Chrome Extensions in the top right hand side of your screen after signing in using your Google accounts.
